Qatar is an Islamic nation, at Doha International Airport we provide prayer rooms for Islamic passengers. Within Doha International Airport there are a total of thirteen prayer rooms available for passenger use. There are seven prayer rooms for men and six prayer rooms for women located throughout the terminal.
Doha International Airport provides free of charge WiFi to its passengers at both the departures and arrivals terminal. Additionally in collaboration with Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading communications company, Doha International Airport provides passengers with free of charge browsing stations located on the top floor of the departures terminal.
Ooredoo also offers its signature self-service machines (SSMs) on the ground floor of the departures terminal located across from boarding gate 1. The Ooredoo SSM allows Ooredoo subscribers to pay their bills amongst other services. There is also an Ooredoo booth in the arrival terminal selling pre-paid phone cards and recharge vouchers for passenger convenience.
We are proud to partner with TAYF Qatar Charity and offer our passengers the chance to donate while at the airport. TAYF charity collects donations and redistributes them to the poor and needy in the community. There are two TAYF Qatar charity boxes located in both terminal A and B, accepting clothing items (children’s, men’s and women’s), household goods and miscellaneous items. We ask that all donations of appliances, electronics equipment and clothing be in good condition.
Keep the kids entertained before boarding at the children’s play area located near boarding gate 7 and the sterling restaurant. Inside the play area there are a range of activities for children of all ages to enjoy including a climbing frame and a soft play area.
Banking Facilities and Currency Exchange
There are a total of 18 banking facilities available throughout Doha International Airport. There are four ATMs in the Premium Terminal and two ATM facilities landside in both terminals A and B with additional banking and currency exchange services available in terminal A. Within the departures and transit area there are four ATMs and two currency exchange facilities. At the arrival terminal there is an e-cash service prior to immigration as well as six ATMs along with one customer exchange service for passenger use.
Within the departures terminal there is a medical clinic operated by the Hamad Medical Corporation. The clinic is located in the departures hall and is equipped with modern medical equipment and medication. The clinic is open 24 hours a day and is free of charge. There is also a medical clinic located in the Qatar Airways Premium Terminal.
Airport employees are available within the airport to help and accompany passengers who require special assistance throughout their journey at Doha International Airport. Passengers requiring special assistance will be able to fill out a form when booking their flight to inform the airport of their special needs while travelling. There is a special assistance lounge located next to gate 1 on the ground floor for passengers travelling outside of the US. Whilst in the lounge passengers will be able to relax before being transported via a private bus to the aircraft. Passengers travelling to the US requiring special assistance will go directly to their gate. Passengers who require any medical assistance will be assisted by the Hamad Medical Corporation.
At Doha International Airport we offer an e-gate facility for passengers residing in Qatar who wish to speed up their immigration process. Passengers with an e-gate card can head to the e-gate, swipe their card and touch the panel to match their finger print. E-gate cards can be obtained from the Ministry of Interior office at the airport. E-gate is available for both departing and arriving passengers who have valid residence permits in Qatar.
For passengers looking to relax before their flight, we invite you to spend time in the relaxation area located opposite the Oryx lounge on the first floor of the departures terminal. Within the relaxation area you will find comfortable, recliner chairs free of charge and a view of DIA’s runway. The Oryx lounge is also the perfect place to relax and unwind before your flight. Inside the lounge passengers are treated to complementary food and beverages, comfortable chairs and computer facilities. The Oryx lounge is available to all first and business class passengers free of charge and to economy class passengers for a nominal fee of QR 140. The speedy clearance facilities are specifically designed to enable Al Maha passengers to glide smoothly through all airport immigration and clearance formalities.
Upon arrival at Doha International Airport you are greeted by the friendly Al Maha staff and escorted to a relaxing lounge where you will be treated to light refreshments and reading materials while you wait to receive your entry stamp. Al Maha staff will guide you to the fast track passport control, assist you in the baggage reclaim area and escort you through customs.
During departure Al Maha is with you every step of the way from when you are met at the information counter in the departures terminal to when you board the plane. Qatar Airways first and business class passengers should report to the Qatar Airways Premium Terminal and identify themselves to the Al Maha services agent at reception.
