Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) is very much the heartbeat of Doha International Airport and, as the airport has evolved and enhanced its global position in recent years, QAS has been integral to ensuring the smooth transition from regional player to global force. Formed in 2000, QAS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qatar Airways and efficiency and customer service are the key drivers for its success.

There are in excess of 5000 staff working with QAS, currently handling 37 different airlines.

As the sole ground handling agent, they are responsible for all passenger, aircraft and cargo handling, and every passenger, bag and piece of cargo that passes (Departure-Arrival-Transit) through Doha International Airport.

In the ongoing development of Doha International Airport, QAS has remained at the forefront to maintain a smooth running of the airport.

QAS consists of five units:

  • Ground Services manages general operations airside like loading activities, baggage build up, weight and balance
  • Customer Services handles passengers at check in, boarding, lounges ,lost & found, porters and transfers
  • Cargo Services handles cargo throughout
  • Engineering supplies, operations and maintenance of all vehicles and equipment operating airside area
  • Service Quality and Projects handles Quality and Projects, Quality Management System and system support

QAS Travels

QAS Travels provides ticketing support to passengers, with authority to issue tickets for over 60+ different airlines, who would be available to buy a ticket at the last moment , QAS Travels also operates 24/7. QAS Travels is located at the departure entrance of main terminal.
