Doha International Airport

The Doha International Airport is one of the leading transport hubs in the Middle East and one of the fastest growing airports in the world. It is the home of Qatar’s national carrier Qatar Airways, and the only commercial airport of the country.

Doha International Airport currently handles more than 15 million passengers a year and more than 30 airlines operate to and from the facility at any time. The airport offers many amenities and services to passengers travelling to and from Qatar, as well as to travellers who use the airport as a transit hub, at the crossroads between East and West, North and South.

Airport facilities include among many others an extensive duty free shopping area, a wide range of restaurants, free Wifi, prayer rooms and a playground for kids.

Doha international Airport has undergone a dramatic change over the past three years, virtually doubling in size to cope with the huge demand for air travel to and from Qatar, which has been spearheaded by the huge infrastructure developments taking place in the country.

In 2006, Doha International Airport was the world’s first airport to have a dedicated terminal, catering exclusively to First and Business Class passengers travelling on Qatar Airways.
